Fall

Autumn colors, New Hampshire
Every year I waited with bated breath for a certain time, when the birds seemed to listen, the trees started to sleep, and the gentle swish of falling leaves gave way to wild swirls of red, yellow and orange as the North wind pushed away the heat of summer and prepared the fields for winter. I would wrap myself in a coat, make a cozy nook outside, and hunker down with my Bible as long as I could stand the cold (or until it gave way to mid-afternoon warmth), and read the beautiful passages from Psalms. Oh the magic of Fall! Every part of nature, myself included, seemed to tremble on its beautiful precipice of change! I am grateful for the change of the seasons, and the way I will hopefully come to understand the changes in my own life as well, as I slowly but surely walk through the spring and summer of my life. I am grateful for fall, the coolness, the relief from the summer heat, and the abundant frutifulness after the toil and heat of summer. I have great hope for the future harvest, for "God is faithful," and "He who began an good work in me will complete it."

Oh you're right..there is something about the fall that is just magical. I LOVE IT. So much about it shows God's power and provision.
Being from NY, I love the colors of fall, but am really missing it here in Texas! Fall is so beautiful!
I love fall! I think its my fave:) We are planning our first lighting of the fireplace tonight! I love being able to cuddle up under a cozy quilt with a good book and warm soup, and being comfortable. Perfection.
I guess we both had fall in OK on our minds. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
The trees are just starting to turn here in Kentucky. I LOVE this time of year!
